The inspiration behind PUAuditions was to simplify the college audition process for families like yours! Bunny, Karen, and Kathy came together when their children were navigating this challenging journey, just like your kids are today. They recognized the need to reduce travel and the high costs associated with this taxing experience, which led to the creation of PUAuditions (aka PUA). Fast forward to today, and PUA has transformed from an idea into a vibrant, fully realized event that takes place every October. We are proud to have over 75 colleges and universities participating in our auditions for both Musical Theatre and Acting, plus portfolio reviews for Tech & Design. This process is truly dedicated to talented students, and PUA takes the approach of putting the student first. We like to call PUA the "Auditions with Heart" because, as moms, we are truly passionate about helping our children succeed.

​PUAuditions differs from many other "Unified Auditions" as our event features a consortium style format, allowing students to audition ONLY ONCE for all the schools and programs in attendance. We are also the only private unified audition event that is not run by audition coaches. We are agnostic, which allows us to keep the student always at the forfront of our process. With more than 75 schools joining us, you can choose to attend the auditions in person in Pittsburgh or participate in our live-virtual auditions on a separate weekend, providing you with the flexibility to select the option that best suits your needs. Our Tech & Design Portfolio Reviews take place virtually so you have the opportunity to present your portfolio from home. One of the significant advantages of this event is that all students will be seen by every participating school, whether they choose to audition in-person or virtually. Additionally, students at PUA will receive exclusive application waiver codes for the schools attending, guaranteeing you significant savings when applying to these institutions. During the live event, students will have the opportunity to engage in masterclasses led by esteemed professors, allowing them to experience the unique style and approach of each program firsthand. Virtual masterclasses will also be available during both of the virtual weekends, ensuring that all students have access to valuable learning experiences.
